Worth Mentioning
Brother Eugene having surgery
Holy Cross Brother Eugene Philip, a long time teacher at Memorial High School in Evansville, is hospitalized and anticipating surgery to remove a tumerous kidney, according to Barbara Klein, a secretary at the high school who visited Brother Eugene Jan. 19.
He is in room 6110, St. Mary’s Hospital, 3700 Washington Avenue, 47714. “I’m sure he would appreciate hearing from you,” Klein said.
Brother Eugene “did say that he would rather not have visitors on the day of or the day after his surgery [possibly Jan 23]. He said he won’t feel like entertaining visitors.”
“Brother Eugene is not as concerned about whether the tumor is benign or not as he is about who is going to take over his classes.”

“Your prayers will be affective, I know, in praying her home, peacefully,” he said.
