Stephen Ministers Commissioned at St. Joseph, Jasper

Father Ray Brenner has commissioned 13 Stephen Ministers at St. Joseph Church, Jasper, according to Mary Ann Seng.

“Many other ministers attended Mass and the reception proudly wearing their lapel pins showing the Stephen logo — a pair of people, one broken, the other whole. The banner hanging in church featured the logo encircled with the words ‘people,’ ‘caring’ and ‘sharing.’”

Seng said the Stephen Min-istry program is a “one-on-one Christian care giving ministry. A care giver can help a person through a difficult time in his life.”

Newly commissioned ministers include Amanda Beyke, Patricia Brosmer, Michael Hag-erdon, Teresa Hirsch, Anthony Jahn, Cindi Jones, Stacey Lam-pert, Letitia Marino, Carla Moy-nahan, Joan Mungovan, Mona Resenbeck, Natalie Rousch and Nick Soellner.

St. Joseph Church now has more than 50 active Stephen Ministers.
