Vincennes churches plan Good Friday Outdoor Way of the Cross

The Vincennes Area Ministerial Association is bringing back a devotion from years ago, by conducting an Outdoor Way of the Cross on Good Friday, April 10. All are welcome to join in, starting at noon from the steps of the Old Cathedral.

Participants will travel by foot to 14 “stations,” remembering Christ’s passion and death. The procession should take close to an hour. If individuals are unable to walk the entire route, they are asked to join the group at one of the stations. In the event of rain, participants will gather inside the Old Cathedral to pray the Way of the Cross.

The Vincennes Area Ministerial Association is a gathering of ministers from many Christ-ian faiths, sharing their faith and cooperating in outreach to the Vincennes community.

The stations include the following: Steps of Old Cathedral, Southwest Lawn of Memorial bridge, Northeast Lawn of Memorial bridge, Public lawn at corner of Main and First Streets, Parking Lot of Children and Family Services, First Christian Church parking lot, Smith and Bell Insurance parking lot, City Police department, Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home parking lot, Ewing Printing parking lot, City parking lot, City Hall parking lot, Rivet High School, and Steps of Old Cathedral.
