Around the Diocese

Three days that changed the world

“Never in history have 72 hours so changed the world forever as the three days of Holy Week,” writes Father Henry Kuykendall, pastor at Nativity Church, Evansville.

“The Triduum meaning three days give us the rare opportunity to present again the mystery and power of the Father’s love as lived in the joys and suffering of His Son, Jesus Christ. These days are not as separate celebrations, but one continuous remembrance in which we meet and follow in the steps of Jesus again.”

Dedication

“A monument to the aborted unborn will be dedicated at 9:20 a.m. on Easter Sunday morning at St. Mary’s Church in Sullivan,” said Linda Hornbach, parish secretary.

“Everyone may join us at the monument on the northwest corner of the Church lawn for the blessing and then process into Church for our Easter Sunday Mass.”
