Silly rumors
In a recent letter to parishioners at St. Theresa Church, Evansville, Deacon David Seibert, pastoral life coordinator, writes, “Several people have told me in recent days that a rumor has started concerning the closing of St. Theresa parish. How these silly rumors start, we will never know.
“Actually, we are doing well considering the difficult times in our economy.
“The good news is that our overall income is slightly ahead of where we thought we would be by this time. Likewise our actual expenses are down slightly from where we thought we would be.”
He noted that the CPC headcount, which is a measure of active givers, “stayed the same this year which is a good sign. We are not losing families.”
