Learn more about ‘Excellent Parishes’
Two Excellent Catholic Parishes Project Roundtables are scheduled for Friday, April 24, and Friday, May 1, at the Catholic Center in Evansville.
There is no cost to attend either session, and lunch will be provided. The sessions start at 11 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. CDT.
The Excellent Catholic Parishes Project is a pilot project for the parishes in the Diocese of Evansville which is focused on regenerating the apostolic spirit of Pentecost. St. Anthony Church in Evansville has begun such a transformation, according to a coordinating group at the par-ish.
St. Anthony received a grant in January 2008, and additional grants have enabled the parish to hire a full-time youth minister and part-time music minister.
The “Roundtable” sessions will include a progress report, a re-view of the next steps and an opportunity for open questions and sharing of any “best practices.”
Some of the topics included are: welcoming and hospitality, stewardship conversion, Gall-up’s ME25 survey of ministry engagement, youth ministry and music, accountability and leadership development.
