People We Care About
Following is a feature in the Message, designed to help draw together the People of God in southwestern Indiana. Readers are invited to submit information about people who may benefit by some extra prayers and attention.
• “I just received word that Pam Stuckey’s husband Richard died this morning,” writes Donna Halverson, director of schools. “He was in the hospital with double pneumonia and went to the ICU at 2 a.m. Please keep Pam and her family in your prayers.”
Pam is the principal’s secretary at Memorial High School in Evansville.
• “Charlene Fiedler, our youth minister, informed me that Eric Goudge, a graduate of St. Ben’s and very active member of our youth group, was severely wounded in Afghanistan recently,” writes Benedictine Father Gregory Chamberlin, pastor at St. Benedict Cathedral in Evansville.
Fiedler adds, “I just found out that Erik will be in Maryland within the next 48 hours. His injuries include head injury but not worse than a football injury, right eye and ear are gone and part of the right side of his face is gone. His spine is undamaged and he still has his limbs.”
Please send information for PEOPLE WE CARE ABOUT to Mary Ann Hughes, The Message, P.O. Box 4169, Evansville, IN 47724. The e-mail address is mhughes@evansville-diocese.org.
