Online questionnaire available for anonymous comments

By PAUL R. LEINGANG (Message editor)

All members of the Diocese of Evansville are invited to attend a Town Hall Meeting to discuss their hopes, dreams and vision for the parishes and the diocese. Four such meetings are scheduled in late October and early November.

All members of the diocese are also invited to contribute their thoughts and comments by responding to an online questionnaire. All comments made in the online survey will be anonymous.

The survey is found at www.evansville-diocese.org

Two questions are asked about the participant’s parish and activity in the Church:

  1. What parish are you from?
  2. Would you consider yourself to be an active or inactive member of the Church?

The next page of the questionnaire includes eight questions or topics:

  1. Describe a situation in your life where the Church has been the most meaningful to you.
  2. What are the most important trends and changes facing Southern Indiana today and in the next 3-5 years (for example, consider economic, social, demographic, technological, lifestyle, regulatory and political changes among others)?
  3. What are the greatest needs in your parish, community or diocese?
  4. What are the key opportunities for the parish or diocese to build the Church?
  5. What does your parish or diocese do really well?
  6. In what areas does your parish or diocese need to improve?
  7. What is your dream and vision for the diocese (or parish) over the next 3-5 years?
  8. What other comments do you want to bring to the attention of the Planning Team?
