Year for Priests
On the calendar: Praying for priests

The Catholic Schools Office has published a calendar for the Year of the Priest. Students and staff are committed to pray for a priest each day, and all parishioners are invited to participate.
- Monday, Nov. 16: Father John Brosmer
- Father John Brosmer was ordained June 4, 2005. He is pastor of St. Joseph Church in Dale and of St. Nicholas Church in Santa Claus, and also moderator and sacramental minister of Mary, Help of Christians Church, Mariah Hill. Father Brosmer is a native of Celestine who completed his priestly studies at Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corners, Wisc.
- Tuesday: Nov. 17: Father Claude Burns
- Father Claude Burns was ordained May 25, 2002. He is pastor of Holy Spirit Church, Evansville. Father Burns is a native of Evansville who completed his seminary studies at Mundelein Seminary near Chicago.
- Wednesday, Nov. 18: Father August Busch
- Father August Busch continues to provide sacramental assistance since his retirement in 1996. He was ordained May 26, 1956. He is a native of Evansville whose family attended St. Boniface Church; he studied for the priesthood at St. Meinrad Seminary.
- Thursday, Nov. 19: Father Gregory Chamberlin, O.S.B.
- Benedictine Father Gregory Chamberlin made his profession as a Benedictine monk of St. Meinrad Archabbey on Aug. 15, 1959. He was ordained a priest May 2, 1965. He has served as pastor of St. Benedict Cathedral parish since 1991.
- Friday, Nov. 20: Father John Davidson
- Father John “Jay” Davidson was ordained March 14, 1964. He has served as pastor of St. Anthony Church in Evansville since 1991. He is a native of Evansville, who studied for the priesthood at St. Meinrad and at Innsbruck, Austria.
