Around the Diocese

CDA at Daylight

The group, Catholic Daugh-ters of the Americas (CDA), is in the infancy stage at St. John Church in Daylight, according to Audrey Alcorn, parishioner.

“It is one of the largest Catholic women’s organizations in the world. Founded in 1903 by the Knights of Columbus, CDA has flourished under the motto of ‘Unity and Charity.’

“This organization is open to all Catholic women ages 18 plus and is designed to serve the community by helping others.”

In the Daylight parish newsletter, she writes, “Membership in CDA enriches spiritual, social and missionary life, through a sharing of spiritual gifts and talents. With the guidance of the Blessed Mother, CDA members are a group of ‘God’s Active Angels.’”

The Daylight group is “is focusing on promoting vocations, evangelizing the Catholic faith, and bringing Christian values to the community.”
