People We Care About
Following is a feature in the Message, designed to help draw together the People of God in southwestern Indiana. Readers are invited to submit information about people who may benefit by some extra prayers and attention.
• Fred Tarry Creech, age 81, of Evansville, died Jan. 26. He is the father of Joan Fredrich, principal at Holy Rosary School in Evansville.
Survivors also include his wife of 60 years, Joan Charlotte (Hayes); daughters, Rebecca Nimnicht, Lizbeth Creech Mary Crum, Sarah Vieth; sons, Fred Creech, Michael Creech, Pat Creech, David Creech, John Creech, Stephen Creech; 31 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 30 at St. Benedict Cathedral in Evansville.
• Philip Edward Zirkelbach, 94, of Evansville, died Feb. 1.
He is the father of Kathleen Zirklebach, the bookkeeper/secretary at Catholic Charities.
Survivors also include his wife of 64 years, Margaret M. (Anslinger) Zirkelbach; daughters Ellen Zirkelbach of Evansville and Mary Jane (Barry) Silvey of Chapel Hill, N.C.; one son, Ted Zirkelbach of Evansville, a sister, Viola Robinson of Evansville, three grandchildren, and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Feb. 4 at St. Anthony Church in Evansville.
