People We Care About
Following is a feature in the Message, designed to help draw together the People of God in southwestern Indiana. Readers are invited to submit information about people who may benefit by some extra prayers and attention.
• In a Feb. 2 e-mail, Bishop Gerald A. Gettelfinger writes, “Today, Clarence Schutte, my maintenance man, got word today that his cancer in the bone had progressed and [he] will begin chemotherapy next week.
“Many of you may not know that Clarence was the Maintenance Director for the Catholic Center for years and has stayed with me since his retirement. He and his wife, Lorene, take care of me here. They have been responsible for all the decorations when you came for the Christmas gatherings and the weekly care of the house and my personal care. They are precious friends!”
“Let us continue to walk together in prayer.”
