Saying ‘thanks’
In a note to parishioners at All Saints Church, Cannelburg, and St. Peter Church, Montgomery, Father Don Spaulding writes, “I wish to thank all the people who contributed to the new shower and to the Helping Hands who installed it in my home.
“It is hard for me to adequately thank all of you. I never expected anything like this. As I have said so many times in the past 10 years, I couldn’t have chosen a better place to spend my retirement years. The new shower is finer than anything they have at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
“I pray constantly for all of you and I hope that you will continue to pray for me.”

Anniversaries of ordination
Father Kenneth Herr, pastor at St. Boniface Church, Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood March 2, 1968.
Father Lowell Will, pastor of St. Clement Church, Boonville, and St. Rupert Church, Red Brush, was ordained to the priesthood March 2, 1968.
Student of the Month
Michael Mosbey has been chosen Student of the Month at Holy Spirit School, Evansville. When asked what he wanted to be when he grows up, he said, “God calls us to do our jobs, and I’m not sure what he’s called me to do yet.”

Student of the Week
Holtman Doades has been chosen Student of the Week at North Knox Elementary School. He is the son of Kent and Jill Doades, and a parishioner at St. Philip Neri Church, Bicknell.
Helping out
Youth at St. John Church, Loogootee, held a shut-in soup supper, according to youth minister, Shirley Jeffers. “All went great and we delivered to over 70 folks in the community.
“The students did a great job and learned their way around the kitchen. Some did not know what vegetables were or how to brown hamburger — but they do now!”
Saying the Rosary at Holy Rosary
Each Thursday afternoon, parents at Holy Rosary School, Evansville, are gathering to pray the rosary for vocations.
