Summer had a variety of experiences for college seminarian

Seminarians for the Diocese of Evansville gathered for their annual retreat at Sarto Retreat House in Evansville in August 2009, prior to their return to formal seminary studies in the fall. Each participant filled out a brief questionnaire for this series.

How did you spend your summer? Doing landscaping at Arrowhead Custom Lawn Care. I spent a lot of time with family. Nights and weekends were with good friends. I enjoyed quiet time in prayer and reading.

What was the best thing (or maybe, what were the highlights) of your summer? Going to Florida with friends. Spending time with the Blessed Sacrament. Seeing some of my favorite bands in concert

What are the courses/subject matter of the year ahead? This semester I have a heavy load of philosophy courses.

Since this is the Year for Priests, can you identify a priest who has had an influence on your life? What was the influence? Father Alex Zenthoefer has had a big influence on me. I admire his knowledge of the faith, and his ability to connect with others with his sense of humor.
