Leadership awards presented to Mater Dei, Memorial students

Each spring the Evansville Catholic Interparochial High Schools offer the opportunity for the students of Mater Dei and Reitz Memorial High Schools to apply for the Leadership Award, presented as part of the Tomorrow’s Work Force program.

Students are eligible through meeting specific criteria and completing an application and essay. For 2010, students answered the questions, “How has my Mater Dei/Memorial High School education prepared me for life after high school — academically, socially and spiritually? How has my high school education prepared me to be a leader?”

Students were recognized at a dinner, March 17.

They include Memorial High School students Elizabeth Beh-rens, Megan Brandon, Emily Braun, Marjorie Daily, Katie Faupel, Anna Hackert, Marie Hackert, Logan Hazelwood, Me-gan Hostetler, Allison Kieffer and Andrew Kuhn.

Also, Patrick Lamey, Bryce Lueken, Rachel Massey, Liza Mazzocco, Drew Miles, Kelly Moors, Rebekah Riedford, Christina Salgado, Reid Schultheis, Ryan Schutlheis and Matthew Stewart

Mater Dei High School students recognized include Madalyn Bradley, Hannah Daunhauer, Jonathan DeFrees, Josh Elpers, Olivia Fritch, Alecia Kissel, Andrea Knapp, Lauren Martin, Ryan Meeks, Belinda Messal and Jessica Moll.

Also, Jordan Niemeier, Amelia Reising, Teresa Scheller, Alexander Schmitt, Quinn Schroeder, Emily Short, Sarah Stoltz, Paige Townsend, Adam Wilmes and Allison Wolf.

Additionally, two students received Leadership Award Scholarships. They are Ryan Schultheis from Memorial High School and Allison Wolf from Mater Dei High School. Schultheis and Wolf each received a $500 scholarship.
