Survey results

“We had about half our families complete the parent survey, and the results were very helpful as we work to make Resurrection School even better,” writes Angie Johnson, principal.

“In response to the survey, as we plan for the next school year, we would like to implement a school-wide anti-bullying program that promotes respect and acceptance of all students. Core components of the program are implemented at the school, classroom and individual levels.

“The program is called the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, and we would like to hold our kickoff to this program before the school year ends, if the trainer is available.

“Until then, please encourage your child to report bullying issues right away to the teacher, supervisor, social worker or principal. Also encourage your children to respect others and accept them, just as Jesus taught us by his example.”

Traveling Chalice

There is a Traveling Chalice ministry at Precious Blood Church in Jasper which encourages parishioners to pray for vocations. Every household in the parish is invited and encouraged to take the chalice for a week.

This includes seniors, families with children, young couples and singles. Parishioners who take the chalice keep it for a week and pray for vocations during that time. This might include a special prayer at the evening meal or some other time of the day.
