Want to know more about Brothers Keeper?

A man described as “One of Canada’s Most Wanted Criminals” will be the featured speaker at an event in Evansville, sponsored by Brothers Keeper.

Brothers Keeper is a prison after-care program. The benefit and opening celebration will be held at IVY Tech, 3501 First Avenue, on Wednesday, June 23, at 6:30 p.m.

The speaker is Serge LeClerc, who was in and out of the Canadian prison system for more than 20 years. He is described as “a feared gang leader, drug dealer” who was involved in manufacturing over $140 million worth of drugs per year. His life changed, and he became an elected official of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan.

LeClerc will tell his story of redemption. A $10 donation is expected, and Brothers Keeper is also seeking persons or companies who will sponsor a portion of the overhead for the event.
