Saying good-bye
“This will be my last article for the St. Raphael newsletter,” writes Father Ron Kreilein, pastor at the Dubois parish and at St. Peter Celestine Church, Celestine.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed being your pastor for the last year and a half. You have all been so kind and understanding with me as a new pastor.
“Having never been one before and being a new priest, I appreciate your letting me grow to learn more about the priesthood and being a pastor.”
He wrote to the Celestine parishioners, “I thank all of you parishioners for being part of my life as a newly ordained priest. You have all helped me in many ways.”
He has been named the pastor at St. Mary Church, Ireland.

Saying thanks
Benedictine Sister Donna Marie Herr, coordinator of the St. Vincent de Paul Society’s Evansville District Council, writes in a letter to students at St. Theresa School, Evansville, “Thanks for the amazing donation of $577.10 and the whole carload of food collected for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
“The money and food helped us to provide groceries to over 1,000 households in April.”
Recognition
Matthew Stokes, a parishioner at St. Philip Neri Church, Bicknell, has been recognized for his superb academic performance and by the President’s Education Awards program for his outstanding academic achievements.
He is a student at North Knox West Elementary School.
