Working together
In a letter to parishioners at St. Theresa Church, Evansville, Deacon Dave Seibert writes about the importance of belonging to a community and the important role the community plays in helping young parents raise their child in the faith of the Church.
“Those things that we do as a community to support young families, such as providing a Catholic school or sacramental preparation classes, are examples.
“Most of us would find it difficult, if not impossible, to do some of these activities as individual families. And yet we are able to participate because we all work together, we support each other.”
He added, “Sadly, some people become disconnected. By choice or by accident, there are some who no longer experience the care and prayers of the rest of us.
“This is unfortunate because they miss those opportunities of support that the community gives to us in our times of need.”

Funding
Tammy Angermeier, resource teacher at Good Shepherd School, Evansville, has received $1,575 from Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana, according to Judy Van Hoosier, principal.
“The funding will be used to purchase materials for the Minds in Motion Program being used by Mrs. Angermeier and her students. Special thanks are extended to Toyota Motor Man-ufacturing, Indiana for their support and interest in education in southwestern Indiana.”
