30 years of service
Teachers in diocesan schools recognized for anniversaries

Teachers who completed significant years of service at the end of the 2009-2010 school year will be recognized at the annual Back to School gathering Aug. 5 at St. John the Bap-tist School in Newburgh.
THIRTY YEARS
• Margaret Ann Byrne teaches music at Corpus Christi School in Evansville. From 2000 to 2007, she taught at St. Matth-ew School in Mount Vernon, and from 2004 to 2007, she taught at Resurrection School in Evansville.
Her work in the Diocese of Evansville has also included working at Holy Rosary, St. Benedict, Nativity, St. Ther-esa, St. Anthony, Holy Spirit, St. Joseph schools, all in Evansville, St. Philip School in Posey County, and Marian Heights Academy in Ferdi-nand.
• Math teacher Randy Hup-fer has spent 30 years teaching at Memorial High School in Evansville.
• Nancy Walker joined the faculty at St. Matthew School in Mount Vernon in 1979. She teaches third grade.
• Bonnie Werne joined the faculty at Washington Catholic Elementary School, Washing-ton, in 1980. From 1971 to 1972, she taught at St. Simon School, Washington. She teaches first grade.
