Around the Diocese
Happy Birthday!
Father Robert Deig, a retired priest of the Diocese of Evansville, celebrates his birthday July 28. He resides at the Little Sisters of the Poor Home in Evansville.
Transformations
An article in the parish newsletter at St. Anthony Church, St. Anthony, notes, “the parish is in the early stages of transforming the Padua Center Annex into a Parish Hall and Office Complex.”
The former classrooms would be converted into offices, and a communications system would be installed.
New secretary
Debbie Heffernan, secretary for the four Martin County parishes since August of 2007, has accepted a full time job at French Lick, according to Father Joseph Erbacher, pastor.
“We extend our best wishes to Debbie and extend to her our appreciation for the almost three years she has been with us.
“Our new secretary will be Nancy Summers, a St. John parishioner. I and all of us look forward to working with Nancy.”
Resignation
Kelly Greulich, the office manager at St. Nicholas Church, Santa Claus, has taken a new position in the Christmas Lake Village office. “Our entire staff thanks Kelly for her service,” said Father John Brosmer, pastor.
