St. Philip principal is part of program with Mexico
Andrea Lodato Dickel, principal at St. Philip School in Posey County, is taking part in a principal exchange program with Mexico.
“From Oct. 13 to 16, I will be in Washington, D.C., for an orientation program with other educators around the U.S. who will be hosting an educator from Argentina, Brazil or Mexico.
“Then my exchange partner from Mexico will be returning with me and staying until Nov. 4. During that time she and I will be touring different schools around the area and helping her get a feel for education in the U.S.
“We will be visiting schools of all levels, from the Culver Learning Center which houses a pre-school program to the University of Southern Indiana — and everything in between.”
Next summer Dickel will travel to Mexico, and have a similar opportunity in her exchange partner’s hometown of Chilpancingo.
