Message Coloring Contest winners are announced

Over 1,000 students in Catholic schools and religious education programs throughout the Diocese of Evansville participated in the annual Message coloring contest, which was open to students in grades kindergarten through four. Child-ren and grandchildren of Message subscribers also participated in the contest
The four grand prize winners include
- Samantha Love, kindergarten, St. Philip School, Posey County;
- Corbyn Schnell, first grade, Precious Blood School, Jasper;
- Margaret Anne Marie Schalten, second grade, St. Joseph School, Princeton;
- Kenzie Paul, third grade, St. Matthew School, Mount Vernon;
- Jenna Zirkelbach, fourth grade, St. Wendel School, St. Wendel.
They each won $20 gift certificates from G.D. Ritzy plus a classroom ice cream party for their homeroom.
First place winners include
- Grace Phillips, kindergarten, St. Philip School, Posey County;
- Macy Decker, first grade, St. Benedict Cathedral School, Evansville;
- Rebekah Haas, second grade, St. John the Baptist Church, Newburgh;
- Kason Riffert, third grade, St. Benedict Cathedral School, Evansville;
- Alaina Spahn, fourth grade, St. Wendel School, St. Wendel.
First place winners will each receive a $10 gift certificate from G.D. Ritzy.
Second place winners include
- Cain Boehman, kindergarten, St. Philip School, Posey County;
- Leah Dilger, first grade, St. Ferdinand Church, Ferdinand;
- Caleb Dyson, second grade, St. Wendel School, St. Wendel;
- Isaac Gross, third grade, Sts. Peter and Paul School, Haubstadt;
- Maddie Kissinger, fourth grade, St. Benedict Cathedral School, Evansville.
They each won a $5 gift certificate from G.D. Ritzy.
Third place winners include
- Peyton McWilliams, kindergarten, of Henderson, the grand-daughter of Roy and Carolyn McWilliams, parishioners at Good Shepherd Church, Evansville;
- Kristen Spindler, first grade, Holy Cross School, Fort Branch;
- Garland Hall, second grade, St. Benedict Cathedral School, Evansville;
- Claire Jones, third grade, Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Haubstadt;
- Andrew Smith, fourth grade, Holy Cross School, Fort Branch.
They will each receive a coupon for a free double dip ice cream cone from G.D. Ritzy.
