Catechumens, candidates prepare to join the Church

Catechumens became “the Elect” during Rite of Election ceremonies March 13 at St. Benedict Cathedral, Evansville. They plan to be baptized and confirmed during the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. They will also receive Communion.
Candidates for full communion will also complete their initiation process into the Church on Holy Saturday.
All of the candidates have already been baptized. Some will be confirmed during the Easter Vigil, and all will be able to receive Communion. (Related story: Jean Wood - RCIA participant looking to ‘become an active’ Catholic)
