30 and 35 years of service
Teachers in diocesan schools recognized for anniversaries

Teachers in the Diocese of Evansville who completed significant years of service at the end of the 2010-2011 school year will be recognized at the annual Back to School gathering Aug. 4 at Holy Redeemer School in Evansville.
THIRTY-FIVE YEARS
- Franciscan Sister Bridget Arnold is a second grade teacher at St. Joseph School in Vanderburgh County where she has served for 24 years. She has also taught at Westside Catholic School and St. Agnes School, both in Evansville.
- Jane Greenwell is a 35-year member of the faculty at Holy Family School in Jasper where she teaches second grade.
- Rebecca Nimnicht teaches math at Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville where she has taught for 27 years. She began her teaching career in the diocese in 1972 at St. Benedict School in Evansville.
- Third grade teacher Roberta Waninger retired at the end of the 2011-2012 school year. For the last eight years, she taught at St. James School in Haubstadt. She also taught at St. Theresa, Holy Spirit and St. Joseph schools, all in Evansville, and at St. Joseph School, Vanderburgh County, and Holy Cross School in Fort Branch.
- Scott Whitehouse has taught religion at Mater Dei High School, Evansville since 1996. From 1992 to 1994, he was the principal at St. Bernard School in Rockport, and from 1987 to 1992, he was the principal at Corpus Christi School in Evansville. He was also on the faculty at Christ the King and Holy Rosary schools, both in Evansville.
THIRTY YEARS
- Diana Carithers is a 30-year member of the faculty at St. Wendel School, St. Wendel, where she teaches kindergarten.
- Donna Halverson is the assistant superintendent of schools for the diocesan Catholic Schools Office. She has also served as the assistant director and interim director for the office, principal at Holy Spirit School in Evansville, and as a teacher at St. Benedict School in Evansville.
- Lynn Scheessele teaches kindergarten at Good Shepherd School in Evansville, where she is a 25-year member of the faculty. She also taught at Holy Redeemer and Corpus Christi schools, both in Evansville.
- Benedictine Sister Karlene Sensmeier is the principal at St. Benedict Cathedral School in Evansville. She also served at St. Matthew School in Mount Vernon.
During the month of July, the Message will feature teachers with 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service in diocesan schools.
