Deacon Michael Burns, granted a three-year administrative leave of absence from permanent diaconate ministry, effective immediately. Document signed Aug. 15, 2011.
Deacon Michael Burns, ordained July 9, 2005, has most recently been assigned as chaplain in the Evansville hospitals and to the nursing homes in the Evansville West Deanery. He and his wife Jeanne, formerly members of St. Matthew Church, Mount Vernon, have moved out of the Diocese of Evansville to New Castle, Ind., to be closer to their adult children and grandchildren.
